Francis J. Nyaforh  earned a bachelor’s degree from Washburn University in 2000 ,he double majored in finance and accounting.  He also earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in 2002 from Baker University in Overland Park, Kansas.
Hedge Funds, Retail, Public Service, Non-profit, Government and Music Entertainment industries are just a few that Mr. Nyaforh has experienced. Within those industries he has served in multiple capacities, including such titles as Project Manager, Accounting Manager, Writer, Producer and Advisor. Today, Mr. Nyaforh is the Founder and Chairman of the Board for Kids for Joy, a non-profit organization aimed at helping and empowering underprivileged children in Liberia.  Mr. Nyaforh is also commonly known as Jaway, a singer, songwriter and producer at Jaway Music in Los Angeles, California.

Sport and Entertainment Director

Nikki Mahoney graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a BA in Japanese and Minors in Exercise and Health Sciences, and Athletic Coaching.  Currently, Nikki is getting her master’s degree in International Relations, with a concentration in Sports Diplomacy.

From 2007-2009, Ms. Mahoney played professional basketball in Switzerland.  In addition, she has attended Peace and Sport’s International Forum in Monte Carlo, Monaco, as well as participated as a coach/mentor at Generations for Peace in Amman, Jordan.  Nikki has coached basketball for over 10 years for institutions such as the Los Angeles Lakers, NY Knicks, Michael Jordan Flight School, Stanford University, as well as international camps in Switzerland, Norway, and Thailand.  In 2010, Nikki started a sport for development charity, SPLASH, that has run sports programs for underprivileged kids in Haiti, South East Asia and she is currently serves on the board of VAAFD as and entertainment director.

Laura Quaynor  is a teacher and educator professor, and has worked with VAAFD as a researcher and supporter.  She is happy to be a part of efforts to provide quality education to Liberian youth.



Tricia Chirumbole is a community organizer, facilitator, social change pioneer, and dancer, passionate about contributing to conscious social and economic transformation by creating opportunities for authentic engagement and self-expression in communities and workplace settings
